Happy Birthday "B"

Hey Peeps and anyone else checking in. A special "Hey" goes out to Hazel Mae.

Before we get started on the NHL - I'm going to start by wishing my best friend "B" a very happy "never mind what" birthday. Kiddo, I hope you have a great day today and that all your birthday wishes come true - yes, I'll buy lunch soon. My friend "B", one of the very few woman who gets better looking, better everything each and every day...(Hazel is one of those women too).

Ok, back to the playoff grind tonight at the ACC - the Maple Leafs host the Lightning tonight in another must win game...aren't they all? The Leafs have a pretty good record against the Lightning, so Leafs Nation is hoping that the good guys carry the momentum from Saturday night's win against the Tards tonight against the Lightning. Tampa is winding up a gruelling six game road trip, which is a good thing; but the scary thing is that teams have a way a winning the last game of a long road trip. Note to the Lightning - you're tired...just pack it in early and worry about getting home...ok? Leafs Nation thanks you.

Note to the SenaTards - ok, you undoubtedly know that I hate you. I hate you with every fiber of my being...I hate you more than the collective hatred that Red Sox Nation holds for the New York Yankees; but I'm going to put it aside for two and a half hours tonight. I have one simple message for you - BEAT THE DAMN RANGERS TONIGHT. Just do it - now, I'm not going to promise one of you one of Hazel's Stars tomorrow; but I promise I won't crap on you tomorrow. Just win tonight dammit.

Leafs Nation will also be looking at former Leafs goalie Eddie Belfour to hold the fort tonight in Raleigh against the Hurricanes - come on Eddie...don't let us down.

A "game of interest" will be the Canadiens and Islanders tonight - if there was a way we could ensure both teams would wind up with no points tonight...we would; but since we can't, we'll probably look for a Habs win to keep the Isles within striking distance. The Habs don't scare us, we'll take care of them Saturday night.

HAZEL'S THREE STARS
Atlanta Thrashers G Kari Lehtonen stopped 31 of 33 shots to lead the Thrashers to a 4-2 victory over Alex Ovechkin and whoever the Caps farm team is.

Calgary Flames LW Kristian Huselius had a goal and three assists in a 5-4 shootout win over the Blues last night.

Former Leafs, current Coyotes G Mikael Tellqvist stopped all 24 shots he faced in a shutout win over the Flyers.

TUESDAY THREE PLAY

We start the week off 2-0 again - quite the run we're on.

Dallas over Philadelphia - Dallas has to right the ship that has gone a little off course lately; expect them to do it tonight against the Flyers. Lay $100 on Dallas - $310.

San Jose over Chicago - the Hawks will find the Sharks a little tougher than the Coyotes. San Jose keeps pushing towards the playoffs - will Bill Guerin finally show up? We think so. Lay $100 on the Sharks - $330.

Ottawa over NY Rangers - see above. Lay $50 on the Tards - $145.

That's it for today gang...have a great one peeps!

KEEPING HAZEL UP ON WHAT'S WHAT IN TORONTO
we'll be back later with links.

HAZEL'S TUESDAY HOROSCOPE

Your emotions may be up and down but everything will turn out perfectly if you stick to your plans. A trip can be taken today that will allow you to get together with old friends. Someone who has inspired you in the past is likely to again. 2 stars

Hazel, I hope things are groovy in your world.

Song of the Day on Hazelspeeps - for my girl "B"...I don't know any of his songs, but I know her favourite singer is some Italian dude named Eros Ramazotti...so anything by him. I'm sure he must have sang Happy Birthday to someone, so why not to "B"?

Peesth Out...Buh Bye!
