It Rises or It Floats

Hey Peeps and anyone else checking in. A special "Hey" goes out to Hazel Mae.

In any organization promotions are always a hot topic of discussion. When people succeed and move up the corporate ladder or organizational hierarchy - the two mitigating factors about how the move is perceived are : the talent and character of the person experiencing the succeess, and the health/success of the organization itself. Promotions can generally be summed up with two simple statements:
  • the cream rises to the top - which would apply to our girl Hazel and the success she has (and will) experience; or

  • shit floats - which was my first thought upon hearing that the Philadelphia Flyers had brought back Bob Clarke to serve as the team's Executive Vice President.
Six weeks after claiming he was "burned out", Bob Clarke returns to the scene of the crime to provide the Flyers organization with the "knowledge and valuable experience" he has acquired in all of his years in hockey. Yes, the knowledge and experience it took to run a team in the OLD NHL - Clarke has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that the NHL has now passed him by. Way to go Philly...you'll continue to be a city of chumps and losers. Welcome back "Clarkie".
Speaking of the NHL - the Bruins messed up yesterday's three play by shocking the Canadiens in Montreal last night. I'm guessing Hazel enjoyed that game.

HAZEL'S THREE STARS

Boston Bruins' D Brad Stuart had two goals and an assist in a Boston's 6-5 win over the Habs. Somewhere Jack Edwards must be smiling and thinking to himself "I told you trading Thornton was a good decision."

Dallas Stars' goalie Marty Turco made 25 saves in a 1-0 shutout win over Joe Thornton and the San Jose Sharks. Again, somewhere Jack Edwards must be smiling and thinking to himself "I told you trading Thornton was a good decision."

Edmonton Oilers goalie Dwayne Roloson stopped 36 shots in a 4-0 shutout victory over Roberto Luongo and the Canucks. I wonder if somewhere Jack Edwards is smiling and thinking to himself "See Dave Nonis? See Kevin Lowe? Didn't I tell the NHL that trading Thornton was a good decision?"

TUESDAY THREE PLAY

We gots spanked last night in the three play...our first 0-for night in over five weeks. The balance sheet for the week starts off at - $200. Nashville and Anaheim are killing us these days.
Ottawa over NY Islanders - might as well ride the Tards while they are playing well; that's all I'll say about them. Lay $50 on the Tards - $160.

Carolina over Calgary - the best thing for Carolina is to get out on the road and play a few game. Lay $25 on Carolina + $135.

Pittsburgh over Florida - both teams aren't playing well...so I'll take the young legs of Malkin and Crosby over the Panthers. Lay $25 on the Pens - $200.

HAZEL'S TUESDAY HOROSCOPE

It's time to take a little spin down memory lane. Once you do, you will know exactly how to clear up loose ends so you can move forward without any baggage. Love relationships are looking good. This is a fabulous day for talks and to get things happening. 5 stars

Hazel, I hope things are groovy in your world...looks like the stars are lined up for you today.

Song of the Day on Hazelspeeps - after reading Hazel's horoscope, a wake up song to get your ass out of bed.
