Standing Away From Ledge

Hey Peeps and anyone else checking in. A special "Hey" goes out to Hazel Mae.

We aren't pushing the panic button, as a matter of fact our finger isn't even on it...yet. While Leaf Nation was really hoping for a win last night to pull us into a tie on points with the Habs and Lightning - we'd still be in ninth place as both have more wins - a tie isn't the end of our season...have I mentioned how much I hate the shootout? Toronto gears up for Crosby and the Pens on Saturday night in a game they will really need to win. I don't want to talk about last night's game - they got a point.

The Habs are in town tonight to play the SenaTards, so we are stuck in one of those ugly situations where we are looking for a Tards win. The Tards have been talking about "resting" a few guys who have bumps and bruises since they need to get ready for the playoffs - I hope they wind up without home ice in the first round and get bounced. Montreal always plays well here, so Leaf Nation will be watching the game on the edge of our seats. We're hoping some of those idiots play with some pride, there is no way they should be losing to Montreal.

The other game of interest to Leaf Nation sees the Hurricanes travel to Tampa to play the Lightning. Its a situation where you pick your poison - do you want the Hurricanes to win and have two (potentially three) teams a point ahead of the Leafs, or do we want the Lightning to go up three points and keep Carolina in 10th. I guess I want to see Carolina win in REGULATION - no damn three point game tonight.

We aren't too concerned about Buffalo and the Isles - New York is done for...period.

HAZEL'S THREE STARS
Pittsburgh Penguins C Eric Christensen had two goals and an assist last night to lead the Penguins to a 4-2 win over the Bruins. One more episode of The Buzz for Bruins fans?

Calgary Flames RW Jarome Iginla had a hat-trick in a 4-1 victory over the Minnesota Wild last night - bad for our Three Play, first wrong pick this week.

Anaheim Ducks D Chris Pronger had two goals and an assist in the Ducks 5-2 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets.

FRIDAY THREE PLAY
We were 2-1 last night and wound up + $35, bringing our total for the week to + $535 - we've gotten well in the last few weeks. Tonight's suggestions

Buffalo over NY Islanders - Lindy isn't letting up and the Islanders will likely be starting a rookie between the pipes. Buffalo wins this one going away. Lay $100 on the Sabres OTB this morning, we'll update later

New Jersey over Philadelphia - the Devils need a win in a bad way, so they won't take the Flyers lightly. Lay $100 on the Devils - $310.

San Jose over Phoenix - see reasoning for picking Devils. Lay $100 on the Sharks - $410.

That's about it for today gang - have a great one peeps.

HAZEL'S FRIDAY HOROSCOPE
Look to the future. This is no time to live in the past. Anyone who cannot keep up will be left behind. Strive for perfection and completion and you will be noticed. Do whatever is required to put your ideas and intentions into play. 3 stars

Hazel, I hope things are groovy in your world. Have a great weekend.

Song of the Day on Hazelspeeps - spring has hit Ontario, coats are off, the heels are on, skirts and up, necklines are down, its all good!

Here Comes The Weekend - The Jam

Peesth Out...Buh Bye!
