A very happy birthday goes out to my man Alex, he was one of Hazel's Champs last month, and the little guy turns six today - that is the more important story in my world today. We'll be back later tonight with the Hazies.

Washington Capitals LW Alexander Semin had a hat-trick yesterday afternoon in a 7-1 win over the Lightning - boy were we ever wrong about the Lightning yesterday afternoon.

Colorado Avalanche C Joe Sakic assisted on all four goals yesterday to lead the Avs to a 4-3 overtime win over the Sharks last night.

Atlanta Thrashers LW Keith Tkachuk had a goal and an assist to lead Atlanta to a 4-3 overtime win over Buffalo - he's been a difference maker since being traded to the Thrashers.
