Playoffs Kick Off Today

Hey Peeps and anyone else checking in. A special "Hey" goes out to Hazel Mae.

Well, it all starts today with three games. I've called my shot in the series', so a quick post this morning to give you today's winners. Funny thing about today's games - each one of them features a starting pitcher from Hazel Mae's Hackers (Zito, Peavy and Robertson).

Oakland vs Minnesota
Barry Zito takes the mound today against Johan Santana. The Twins should win this one with Santana throwing; but I look for this one to be a one run game...I'd like to go with Zito, but I just can't today. Twins win 3-2.

St. Louis vs San Diego
Former Blue Jay Chris Carpenter goes up against Jake Peavy. Peavy has had a so-so season (rumours are that he has been pitching with a bad shoulder and elbow this year) but pitching in San Diego is going to help. Another close game today, but I'll take San Diego to win 4-3.

Detroit vs New York
Nate Robertson goes up against Chien-Ming Wang. The Tigers were awful down the stretch, they Yankees were themselves. All signs point to Detroit getting spanked today, but I look for Robertson to neutralize Damon and Giambi - and ARod to be his October-self. Detroit surprises everyone today and wins this one by a score of 6-3.

NFL RECAP
Not a bad week in the pools. I was 8-6 against the spread - but still managed to finish with 82 out of a possible 132 points which is very respectable, considering I had six wrong (shouldn't have gone against Hazel's Chiefs - shouldn't have taken Jacksonville either).

10-4 straight up this week for 71 points - against respectable, but it should have been better.

Gotta book gang...taking the morning off - business to attend to. Have a great one peeps.
