Opening Day 2006 - New England Style

Hey Peeps and anyone else checking in today. A special "Hey" goes out to Hazel Mae.

Opening day at Fenway Park, Hazel's once beloved (and still???) beloved Blue Jays come to town. Last week, I mused that Hazel's attendance at the Maple Leafs/Bruins game, to me, was a sign that she was still a member in good standing of Leaf Nation - I wonder if the same goes for the Jays...not that her attendance would confirm that, I would think she would have to be at opening day.

Bad news out of Boston yesterday, the Sox announced Coco Crisp will be out of the lineup for a month with a broken index finger. Somewhere in Boston, WEEI's Mike Adams must be despondant right now...I wonder if he would consider jumping off a bridge - can someone push him?

Josh Beckett takes the mound today - put Eric Hinske down for an 0-4 day, with a couple of strikeouts thrown in there...just because.
