Questions to you the reader this morning

"If" Boston loses to Cleveland, who is to blame? The players for failing to come through? Francona for standing by guys like Crisp, Drew and Lugo? Theo Epstein for his FA acquisitions that haven't worked out? Or do you just give credit to the Cleveland Indians for having a better ball club than anyone thought?

To all the Manny haters out there - win or lose against the Indians - seeing what he has done this October, do you really think Boston would be better off without Manny? Would you want to see ARod instead? Don't think so...

He wants to pitch another year, but if you are Theo Epstein, do you offer Curt Schilling $13M for what in all likelihood would be another "un-Schilling" like year? Anyone else think he going mostly on reputation now?

Dice-K Matsuzaka - worth the $52M in salary (we know he's worth the posting fee) or not?

Hmmmm, we're talking like the season is over - we'll save other questions for after the ALCS. For those keeping score, if Cleveland wins, yours truly goes 2-0 in predicting League Championship Series; while our man Quikdraw goes 0-2.

Still believing the Cowboys weren't totally over matched by the Patriots - we'll see you guys in the Super Bowl.

Randy Moss vs. Terrell Owens? Moss is the better player, but Terrell has more heart; the Eagles hate to admit it, but Owens was the only guy with who wasn't shitting his pants when they played the Patriots in the Super Bowl.

Three NFL coaches that should be - but won't be - fired: Chicago's Lovie Smith, Cincinnati's Marvin Lewis, Seattle's Mike Holmgren.

For those of you that didn't know - the NHL season is underway and the Boston Bruins are a respectable 2-3; better check in with them sooner than later...they'll be near the basement of the Eastern Conference before you know it.

The Toronto Maple Leafs are asking fans to cut Bryan McCabe some slack - McCabe is the new whipping boy for Leaf Nation - after scoring on his own net with four seconds left in overtime against Buffalo. No way - booing him is the only way fans can hold him accountable for his play which has steadily declined since he signed his big contract. We've said it from day one - questionable decision making, below avg puck distributor, weak defensive zone coverage, and prone to taking bad penalties at inopportune times. Bryan McCabe must go - addition by subtraction.

Euro 2008 Qualifiers go today - Portugal is in Kazakhstan today; a win puts them in very good position to qualify for the tournament next year. Quaresma time today.

We won't do the three stars today...out of respect for Red Sox Nation.


WEDNESDAY THREE PLAY
Pittsburgh over New Jersey - the Devils D is as bad as Toronto, albeit they make 1/3 of the money the donkeys behind the Leafs' blue line are making. Crosby and the Penguins should be skating circles around the Devils tonight. Lay $100 on the Pens - $155.

Anaheim over Nashville - no explanation needed on this one. Lay $100 on the Ducks - $210.
