It's all in how you look at it

Hey Peeps and anyone else checking in. A special "Hey" goes out to Hazel Mae if she is checking in.

Many thanks to those of you who emailed (thoughtsofhazel@gmail.com) to make sure we didn't miss the score of Sunday afternoon's game. Alright, the Patriots won handily, and while they were full credit for the win, we aren't about to agree about Dallas not deserving to be on the same field. We're not down with our man Quikdraw's view that the Patriots toyed with the Cowboys - the Cowboys got off to an awful start and fought their way back to take the lead; they not only hung in there for most of the game, they were absolutely in it.

We won't make excuse for penalties - cough cough...interference on Moss...cough cough... bullshit - or some of the questionable calls; Dallas has some work to do and some adjustments to make on defence before we play New England again - that's right, we said AGAIN. We'll see you guys in Arizona in February.

What do you think if you're a member of Red Sox Nation? Theo Epstein's two biggest free agent signings have a been a complete disappointment in the playoffs, and the third hasn't done much. Tonight's game is a must win - you can say what you want about "just having to win one game to get it back to Boston" - but it would be very tough to see the Indians lose three straight if they go up 3-1 in games. Good luck to Tim Wakefield tonight.

Same old story in Buffalo last night - the Leafs take a 2-0 lead in the third period and give up four goals; eventually losing 5-4 in overtime when Bryan McCabe tried to clear a loose puck and instead put it in his own net. While we should be happy that Toronto picked up a point last night - they have been tough to come by in Buffalo - this pattern of playing well and then blowing a leads against the Sabres is the main reason we haven't made the playoffs in two years. Paul Maurice asked Leaf Nation to go easy on McCabe - that he was doing his best; to that we say NO FRIGGIN WAY. McCabe should be booed into submission, until he waves his "no movement" clause to trade his ass away to the Islanders. From day one we've said that signing McCabe was a mistake - get rid of this guy...Kubina's days are numbered too.

It's all in how you look at things...we'll be back later with more.

TUESDAY THREE PLAY
We finished last week at - $365, leaving the total for the year at - $165. Tonight's suggestions:

Minnesota over LA Kings - ride the Wild while they are hot, they'll lose eventually, but we don't see it happening against the Kings. Lay $100 on Minnesota - $160.

Colorado over Calgary - we're not sold on the Flames under Mike Keenan yet, we might not ever be. Colorado is a better team this year and should make the playoffs. Lay $100 on Colorado -$150.

That's it for now - we'll think about the Tribe v Red Sox game...we may post a couple more before game time. Thanks for taking the time to check.

Hazel, we hope things are groovy in your world.

We're OUT!!!
