Hey "three players" and anyone else checking in. A special "Euro 2008 qualifier Hey" goes out to Hazel Mae if she is checking in (we know she wasn't checking in on the goings on in Azerbaijan).

An afternoon of Sagres ended with a 2-0 win over Azerbaijan today for the Seleccao das Quinas. Goals by defender Bruno Alves and striker Hugo Almeida were enough to get the win today - it could have been more, should have been more - but it was what it was; a win.

Big night for our girl Hazel tonight - the Sox host the Indians in game 2 of the ALCS and the Maple Leafs host Sidney Crosby. Still hoping for some Hazel Karma down at the ACC tonight. Hate to say it, but we like the Indians tonight - something tells us that Schilling is going to let Boston down tonight.

SATURDAY THREE PLAY
Still can't believe the Red Wings blew a 2-0 first period lead against the Blackhawks last night - killing our Three Play. The total for the week stands at - $375. Tonight's suggestions:

SAN JOSE over Boston - the Bruins picked up their win for the week against the Kings last night, that is about all they're good for this year. The Sharks, behind former Bruins C Joe Thornton, should steamroll the B's tonight - this one won't even be close; the pick of the night. Lay $100 on the Sharks - $260.

VANCOUVER over Edmonton - the Canucks should rebound from the humiliating and painful (just ask Ryan Kessler) defeat to the Flyers with a win over the Oilers. Edmonton is playing their third game in four nights which doesn't bode well for them. Lay $100 on the Canucks - $170.

Minnesota over PHOENIX - the Coyotes are off to a decent start this year, but they haven't faced anyone with Minnesota's firepower - be it Telleqvist, Auld or whomever else starts for Phoenix, they can expect to see the Wild coming in waves tonight. Lay $100 on Minnesota - $155.

COLORADO over Columbus - another mismatch tonight in Denver. The Blue Jackets are going to struggle this year - the Avs are a legit playoff team; factor in last change for the Avs and you have a win against Rick Nash and the Jackets. Lay $100 on Colorado - $185.

New Jersey over ATLANTA - we don't think much of either team in this one, so we are going with the goaltending matchup - Brodeur wins this one hands down. New Jersey will be looking to rebound from a shutout loss to Florida. Lay $100 on the Devils - $125.
