The Good, The Bad, The Ugly & The Retarded

Hey Peeps and anyone else checking in. A special "Hey" goes out to Hazel Mae if she is checking in for today's abbreviated, albeit angry, post.

Not a great day for most people reading the page, we'd assume.

The Good - Portugal beats Azerbaijan 2-0 and gets goals from unlikely sources. Hugo Almeida might be the striker we have always lacked - big, stronger and a deadly finisher.

The Bad - Toronto gives up a 3-1 second period lead and loses 6-4 to Crosby and the Penguins, with the go-ahead goal coming on a weak delay of game call. No surprises last night - Bryan McCabe was awful and Pavel Kubina wasn't much better.

The Ugly - Eric Gagne and Javier Lopez; they effectively blew the game before Lester came in.

The Retarded - The San Jose Sharks are officially shitlisted here after losing to the Bruins; we aren't talking three play either, that killed a great Pro-Line ticket. Stinking Sharks.

We went 4-1 last night only to finish + $140 for the night - not great. The total for the week stands at - $235. We'll get it back today.

Tennessee + 2.5 over TAMPA BAY - there is no way the Bucs should be giving up points in this one; the Titans are a better team AND coming off a bye week. Titans win this one outright. Lay $100 in Tennessee.

Cincinnati over KANSAS CITY - see above explanation, it pretty much applies in this one too. Carson Palmer should have enough time to pick the Chiefs apart today. Lay $100 on the Bengals.

Philadelphia - 4 over NY JETS - the Eagles are counterfeit, the Jets aren't because everyone knows they are terrible.

Washington + 3 over GREEN BAY - still think both teams are overrated, so take the points in a game that should be decided by a field goal. Lay $100 on the Skins.

ARIZONA -5.5 over Carolina - Vinny Testeverde might play, and he actually knows 60% of the playbook, ugh. Arizona wins this one going away. Lay $100 on the Cardinals.

SAN DIEGO -9.5 over Oakland - Oakland's first real test - they'll fail today...especially if Culpepper plays. Chargers roll over Raiders - forget the divisional game stuff. Lay $100 on the Chargers.
