Fukufuji'd!

Hey Peeps and anyone else checking in. A special "Hey" goes out to Hazel Mae.

Yutaka Fukufuji ensured that he will have a place in the NHL History/Trivia books when he became the first ever Japanese player to start a game in the NHL. Fukufuji start in goal for the Kings who were slapped around by the Atlanta Thrashers. I was if Hazel was able to say his name without cracking a grin.

Speaking of which - anyone think that Fukufuji'd is the Japanese word for Schottenheimer'd? (Read Monday's post). David Beckham has been "Fukufuji'd" over the last couple of days in Spain - Real Madrid's President Ramon Calderon was quoted as saying:

"David Beckham will be an average cinema actor living in Hollywood.

The proof that our technical team was right in not considering his continuity has been ratified by every single technical team in the world, because no one, with the player having been free, has wanted him."

Ouch! Is Calderon bitch slapping Beckham? The LA Galaxy? or both? Those Spaniards can be a little testy huh?

Good night in the NHL last night - Maple Leafs shock the Lightning in Tampa last night and the Canadiens continue to struggle.

HAZEL'S THREE STARS
Vancouver Canucks G Robert Luongo made 30 saves in a 4-0 shutout over Montreal last night. Luongo was hurt in the pre-game warmup but came back to stymie his hometown team. Nice

Atlanta Thrashers LW Marian Hossa beat Los Angeles' Yutaka Fukufuji three times last night in Atlanta's 6-2 victory over the Kings. Have you perfected the "Fukufuji" yet?

St. Louis Blues D Eric Brewer had a goal and two assists last night to lead the Blues to a surprising 6-2 victory over the Ducks last night. I liked the Blues yesterday, but didn't include them on the three play.

WEDNESDAY THREE PLAY
We got well last night winning all three games, putting our balance for the week at + $190.

Buffalo over Boston - no way the Sabres lose back to back to the Bruins. Lay $100 on the Sabres - $275.

Calgary over Dallas - Dallas is banged up and the Flames are playing some good hockey. Lay $50 on the Flames + $105.

Nashville over Detroit - the Preds are the league's hottest team right now. Lay $50 on Nashville + $130.
