Say What????

Hey Peeps and anyone else checking in. A special "Hey" goes out to Hazel Mae.

The New York Giants announced that they had signed coach Tom Coughlan to a one year extension, which will see him on the sideline through 2008. If you are a Dallas Cowboys fan (Eagles or Redskins) you have to be clapping your hands over this brain cramp in New Jersey. Authoritarians like Coughlan usually have a relatively short shelf life - three to four years max - before management has to make the ultimate decision: fire the coach or trade the whole team (who have gotten used to tuning out the coach). Eli Manning must be thrilled with this decision.
Is it just me...or are more and more people starting to think that the Patriots should be the favourites going into Sunday's game against San Diego? I just keep looking at the QB matchup Brady vs Rivers - no contest. We'll be back later to breakdown this weekend's games from the NFL - I'm going head to head with Renee this weekend.

Leafs in Buffalo tonight - ugh, here's hoping last night's game against the Hawks took something out of the Sabres. Bruins hosting the Islanders - not good enough to get Hazel out to the game.

HAZEL'S THREE STARS
Florida Panthers captain Olli Jokinen had a hat-trick last night to lead the Florida Panthers to a 5-2 victory over Sidney Crosby and the Penguins. Is Jokinen playing to be traded? Or is he trying to prove he wants to stay in Florida? Things that make you go hmmmm

Buffalo Sabres' G Ryan Miller stopped 34 shots in a 2-1 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks last night in a game that wound up being closer than it should have been. The long bright spot in yesterday's Three Play.

Edmonton Oilers G Dwayne Roloson made 32 saves in a 3-2 victory over Joe Thornton and the Sharks - I can't figure out the Sharks this season...they are turning into my Ron Mexico(s) of the NHL.

THURSDAY THREE PLAY

Detroit over Phoenix - Coyotes have been red-hot, but teams playing their first game at home after a long road trip tend to have a letdown. Lay $100 on Detroit - $125.

NY Rangers over Ottawa - Lundqvist is playing better of late. Lay $75 on the Rangers - $125.

Montreal over Philadelphia - Montreal's farm team could probably beat the Flyers. Lay $75 on the Habs - $185.

That's about it for this morning. Have a great one peeps.

HAZEL'S THURSDAY HOROSCOPE

You'll have to find a way around anyone who doesn't get what you are trying to do. Don't lose patience -- that will only set you further behind. Someone you meet at a function will be able to help you out. 3 stars

Hazel, I hope things are groovy in your world.

Song of the Morning on Hazelspeeps - wake up song

Grass is Green - Nelly Furtado

Peesth Out...Buh Bye!
