Say Buh Bye Chickenhawk
Hey Peeps and anyone else checking in. A special "Hey" goes out to Hazel Mae.
For those of you checking in for the Weird & Whacked Wednesday update - power issues here last night; wicked lightening storm knocked out power a few times - check back later tonight.
The Yankees hammered the Blue Jays last night - the 2006 season is pretty much over for J.P's boys, thanks in large part to him. He spent money foolishly this year, his choice for manager was questionable, killed clubhouse spirit by calling out his best players - and he didn't have the good sense to be a seller at the trade deadline this year. Ricciardi, who has always liked seeing himself on television, has now become paranoid when talking to the media; witnessed by his interview with Rogers' Sportsnet's Barry Davis - more on that later.
Chase Utley waited until the 8th inning to extend his hitting streak to 34 games - he was 0 for 4 going into the 8th before getting a hit; he added a single in the 9th for good measure.
The Red Sox win again in the 9th and it isn't Big Papi who comes through with the big hit - Mark Loretta's bases loaded two out double was the game winner this time.
Last night's notable performances include two HR games from Alfonso Soriano, Jimmy Rollins, Craig Biggio, and my man (fellow lusitano) Mark Texeira.
Gotta book gang - back later with more. Have a great one peeps.
HAZEL'S THURSDAY HOROSCOPE
Be careful what you do with your cash. Losses are likely if you let someone sweet-talk you into lending or buying something you don't want. Hang out with people you can rely on not those who rely on you. 5 stars
Hazel, I hope things are groovy in your world.
