The N.L's Daddy

Hey Peeps and anyone else checking in. A special "Hey" goes out to Hazel Mae.

So I guess it was somewhat of a thriller last night in Pittsburgh, with American League scoring two runs in the top of the 9th with two out; thereby securing all the important home field advantage in the World Series - the entire Boston Red Sox organization says thank you American League All-Stars, and special thanks to Trevor Hoffman.

Well its Wednesday so that means another installment of the Weird & Whacked to come tonight. The World Cup was over on Sunday - but its all anyone is talking about these days; from:
  • Zidane's impression of a bull in Pamplona - he MAY speak today; to
  • Italian coach Marcello Lippi pulling a George Constanza and leaving while he is on top; to
  • Manchester United proclaiming that Cristiano Ronaldo is not for sale, despite his statement earlier this week that he wanted out of England; to - get this
  • Marco Materazzi's agent claiming that it would be nice to see a Zidane/Materazzi reunion sometime soon; to - oh yeah,
  • the Cartel's new rankings are out.
In North American sports news - surprise, surprise, the Ottawa SenaTards and their fans are still whining about the Martin Havlat trade and how the new Collective Bargaining Agreement they had been begging for for years, sucks for them and hurts their franchise. Careful what you wish for gang - you just might get it (unless your wish is about Hazel - then you want it). I'm waiting for the conspiracy theory that says the CBA was a Toronto Maple Leafs' plot to ruin the SenaTards.

I'm heading out for lunch - good to have a day off. Have a great one peeps.

Hazel, I hope things are groovy in your world. Word has it you were front and center at the Hootie concert - I trust it was a good one.
