FIFA Cartel At It Again

Hey Peeps and anyone else checking in. A special "Hey" goes out to Hazel Mae.

Last night we talked about Zinedine Zidane's headbutt on Marco Materazzi; this morning comes word that Zidane was awarded the World Cup Golden Ball as the outstanding player in the tournament. FIFA was quick to point out that the voting took place before yesterday's game - funny huh? They vote before the final game. What makes this decision even more of a joke is that over the weekend, Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo was voted the top young player at the tournament - but had it taken away by FIFA's Technical Committee, lead by German Franz Beckenbauer, and given to Germany's Lukas Podolski. FIFA said that they looked at Ronaldo's shenanigans (the British press's crusade to make him a villian) and decided to give it to Podolski - who showed that he was an opportunist more than anything else.

So in the eyes of FIFA, it is better to give (a headbutt) than to receive (a tackle) - not pulling back the award from Zidane is a complete joke; not to mention demonstrating how crooked FIFA is. I can't wait to see how they account for keeping the US and Mexico in the top 10 of the World Rankings. Have a great one peeps.

Stick to what you know and do best. You may be questioned about your ability to complete projects. Be honest and offer what you can but don't let anyone take advantage of you. Be professional, stick up for yourself and you will win. 2 stars

Hazel, I hope things are groovy in your world.
