All About The Love

Hey Peeps and anyone else checking in. A very special Valentine's Day "Hey" goes out to Hazel Mae.

Team Canada left for Torino...with families in tow. Gretzky stood in front of the media to announce (again) that he was not going to answer anymore questions about the gambling ring linked to Rick Tocchet and Janet Gretzky. Nice Valentine Day story...Team Canada and their families.

Planet Mikey on WEEI is all about showing the love tonight. Slow sports night with no NHL, a light schedule in the NBA, and MLB getting ready to report. So Mike Adams is asking his listeners to call in and show some love for their favourite sports figure/personality... Why isn't anyone calling in for Hazel? (Settle down...I'm just kidding - sorta. I'd have made the call). Someone just called in for Garry Galley (former Bruin, now with the Team 1200) - I didn't know Galley was so beloved in Boston. Good guy though, I like him - probably the ONLY guy on the Team that knows what he is talking about.

TODAY'S HAZIES
Cross Country Skiers Beckie Scott and Sara Renner won a silver medal in the Women's Team Sprint.

Many skeptics and haters said Canada wouldn't win more than five medals at the Torino games - with 3 down and 2 more to come in hockey... we look pretty good (relatively speaking I guess).

Going to wrap things up early tonight - stuff to do on yahoo site.

Some interesting stuff for tomorrow's Weird and Whacked Wednesday entry - topping the list (no, I think the NHL Gambling Ring has gotten enough coverage here that it doesn't qualify) is some of the news coming out of the NFL.

Long day here today (yes again) - have a great one peeps.

Hazel I hope things are groovy in your world - and that your Valentine's Day turns out to be a great one.

Song of the Day on Hazelspeeps - for Valentine's Day and those you love

Peesth Out!
