INDIANS VS RED SOX FOR AL TITLE. Yankees Dismantling.

The Cleveland Indians outlasted and beat the NY Yankees at Yankee Stadium Monday Night
earning the right to face the Boston Red Sox for the AL Title.
Its really how it should be. The two best teams with the best overall records duking it out to
advance to the World Series.
Personally I'm excited for the Indians Red Sox matchup because I'm sick of the Yankee/Red Sox matchup. Boring when you play them 15-18 times a year.
However when the ALCS starts in Boston Friday night there are heavy rains forecasted
which could delay the opener a day or two.
Middle of the week I'll post my ALCS and NLCS predictions.
My crystal ball is in 6 million pieces.
I accurately predicted the Red Sox sweep of the Angels but totally fucked up on the other 3 series.
The DBacks and Rockies surprised me and other prognosticators by beating the Cubs and Phillies respectively. This sets up a NL West NLCS.
The Yankees who I also picked fell short so I called 1 out of 4. Not good.
YANKEE DISMANTLING BEGINS!
----------------------------------------------------------
Yankee manager Joe Torre is expected to get fired by Yankee owner Georhe Steinbrenner this week. The Boss said in a newspaper interview earlier that if Torre didnot win the ALDS he would be fired. Well the Yanks lost and now we await the official words...
YOURE FIRED!!!
Too bad because Torre is an excellant mgr. and even though Terry Francona has guided the Red Sox well here-I'd replace him with Torre.
Torre will likely take a year off from baseball managing and take on a TV analysts job for Fox Sports. He'll want a break from the daily grind of baseball and spend time with his family.
If he returns-in '09 Torre will have his pick of jobs. Good Luck Joe.
EXPECT ROGER BACK IN 2008
When Torre goes expect a lot of other players to go with him.
Roger Clemens will retire but I don't think it will be for good folks. He may try one last
curtain call in Boston at a big discount.
WHO'S GOING...
Alex Rodriguez after flopping in Oct. in the Bronx will take his AL MVP trophy and head either to the Angels,Dodgers or Red Sox....Johnny Damon will get dealt...Mike Mussina will as well to a team starved for veteran pitching...Bobby Abreu could bring starting pitching or bullpen help from an NL team....Jorge Posada will remain in pinstripes....the bullpen will be retooled as well.
GO RED SOX!
