Foxy Fox
Hey Peeps and anyone else checking in. A special “Hey” goes out to Hazel Mae if she is checking in.
In the absence of anything meaningful happening in the world of sports last night – Pogue was going to talk about his Dodgers finally winning a game and his Cowboys winning a pre-season game against Indianapolis.
Wouldn’t you rather look at the lovely Megan Fox rather than read about teams you couldn’t give a shit about? “We” thought so.
For those of you who are not aware, of all the eye candy that exists in the Transformers movie, Megan Fox was by far the most impressive part of the movie and unlike her co-stars she's real. With good looks drawn from her Irish, Aboriginal and French heritage, she's managed to garner attention through her role on Hope & Faith. Who could resist this lil temptress - especially when she's caught leaning under the hood of a Camereo. Now if she could only dump David Silver (that's right folks she's engaged to Brian Austin Green of Beverly Hills 90210 fame) she's even a bigger hottie.
THURSDAY’S THREE STARS
Red Sox West SS Rafael Furcal hit the game winning home run in the top of the 11th to cap what, for the Dodgers lately, was an offensive explosion in a 5-4 win over Cincinnati. Honourable mention goes to LF Delwyn Young who had four hits and former Yankee Scott Proctor who pitched two shut out innings for the win.
Former Red Sox P Joel Pineiro pitched seven shutout innings for the Cardinals in a 4-0 win over the Padres last night. Pineiro gave up four hits, walked none and struck out four for the win – shades of rock star Bronson Arroyo? Honourable mention goes to Rick Ankiel who made it back to the majors as an outfielder – he hit a three-run home run in the 7th to blow the game open.
Tampa Bay Devil Rays P Scott Kazmir pitched six shutout innings to lead the Rays to an 8-1 win over the Tigers last night – Kazmir gave up three hits and walked one while striking out seven.
Too early in the season to pick a Cowboys player – but Marion Barber looked VERY GOOD last night.
FRIDAY THREE PLAY
We split yesterday afternoon’s games – should have come back for the night games as we were dead on (Cubs and Indians would have been our picks). Oh well, the total for the week stands at a very respectable + $375. Today’s suggestions:
Red Sox West over St. Louis – Manager Grady Little thinks Furcal’s home run yesterday is just what the team needed to turn things around – we agree, even if most of Red Sox Nation has no use for what Grady thinks. Plus, Brad Penny takes the mound tonight against Adam Wainwright. Lay $100 on the Dodgers - $125.
Colorado over Chicago – Rockies took it on the chin last night, they should respond tonight against Jason Marquis. Lay $100 on the Rockies - $145.
New York over Florida – pitching match-up is ugly, but we like the Mets to recover from losing a series to the Braves. Lay $100 on the Mets - $155.
That’s it for this morning – thanks for taking the time to check in. Special thanks again to Tilt. Have a great one Peeps.
Hazel, we hope things are groovy in your world.
We’re Out.
