The Morning After The Night Before

Hey Peeps and anyone else checking in. A special "Hey" goes out to Hazel Mae if she is checking in.

We're going to keep it short today - we are in recovery mode this morning; family gatherings with too much food and way too much drink have a way of catching up to you the next day. We're not completely over yesterday's happening at the UEFA Under-21 Championships - but we're looking forward to the Under-20 World Championships starting up later this month here. It's not sour grapes...we'll, not really.

SATURDAY'S THREE STARS
Cincinnati Reds RF Ken Griffey Jr. hit two home runs and drove in three as the Reds beat Skinny Sammy and the Rangers by a count of 8-4.

Florida Marlins 3B Miguel Cabrera also hit two home runs and drove in four to lead the fish to a 9-8 win over the Kansas City Royals.

Toronto Blue Jays CF Vernon Wells hit a home run and drove in four to lead the Jays to a 7-3 win over the Nationals. Jays starter Shawn Marcum pitched seven solid innings, giving up two runs on three hits and three walks while striking out eleven.

SUNDAY THREE PLAY

A perfect 4-0 last night - our total for the week now stands at + $515. Today's suggestions:

Cleveland over Atlanta - can't see the Braves sweeping the Indians, especially when they are facing Fausto Carmona today. Lay $100 on the Tribe - $200.

Cincinnati over Texas - we'll go with Arroyo over Millwood today, its more of a case of not believe the Rangers can win a series on the road than any faith in Arroyo.

Yankees over Mets - we'll go with Wang over former Yankee Hernandez tonight - again, a case of thinking the Mets can't win a series on the road right now. Lay $100 on the Yankees - $180.

Our upset special today would be the Nationals over Josh Towers and the Jays...but we aren't going to suggest plunking down any of your hard earned cash on that one.

That's it for today gang - thanks for taking the time to check in. A very Happy Fathers Day to those who are celebrating today...have a great one Peeps.

Hazel, I hope things are groovy in your world.

I'm Out.
