Hazelspeeps Super Bowl Weekend

Hey Peeps and anyone else checking in. A special "Hey" goes out to Hazel Mae.

Its Tuesday night, so its time to update the pool standings on the yahoo site. The semi-final games went this weekend; one matchup went according to form, while the other one saw a major upset.

As expected, Tina's Team (owned by our rookie GM Tina) slapped Hubie's Jack O' Laterns around, leaving Hubie to ponder the question "Who does a QB post a -3 for the week" - in reference to Carson Palmer's performance. In the other matchup, the Commish's Fighting Bobcats (who lead the league for most of the year) were upset by Bushey's Ageswimmers. Fear not Commish, there is always the Hazel Hockey League trophy for you to win...maybe!

HAZEL MAE FOOTBALL LEAGUE FINAL PREVIEW
Tina's Team goes into the final as a prohibitive favourite over Bushey's Ageswimmers. Tina will be looking to Tony Romo and Terrell Owens to deliver a Christmas present next week against the Eagles; she also has Larry Johnson going up against the Raiders. Bushey will be hoping that Tom Brady, Steven Jackson and Marvin Harrison to repeat last week's performances. I'm taking the rookie GM to win by seven.


HAZEL HOCKEY LEAGUE
Our man Drisc has built up a pretty good lead in the standings - but things are starting to really tighten up for second, third and fourth place in the league. Standing for the week ending December 18th.

57.5 - Skating Bobcats - owned by Drisc, who is still pondering how he lost the semi-final of the football pool...

47.5 - Double DD Bandits - owned by Hubie who is having nightmares after watching Carson Palmer kill his team yesterday. Hubie plans to console himself with 10+ roster moves in the hockey pool.

47.5 - Weekend Warriors - owned by Chris, who is thinking about his next line of questions for our girl Renee.

40.5 - Hazel's Maeple Leafs - owned by El Presidente, who did the Hubie dance after dropping the Tards' Ray Emery for the Sharks' Evgeni Nabokov.

34.5 - Ice Bitches - owned by our resident hottie Renee, who must be focused on her blog and business activities.

23.5 - Hanson Brothers - owned by Sparky, who must be looking forward to the 2007 Hazelspeeps Fantasy Baseball Pool.
