Great Day In Europe

Hey Peeps and anyone else checking in. A special "Hey" goes out to Hazel Mae.

We'll make this brief this morning - because I know most of you can't stand soccer. A great day in Champions League yesterday for two Portuguese teams; Benfica avenged a 3-0 loss to Celtic a couple of weeks ago with a win by the same score at the Stadium of Light; F.C. Porto beat Hamburg SV by a 3-1 count yesterday in Germany. It is going to be tough for either of them to get to the knockout stage - but I'm hoping for a little bit of Hazel Karma.

Leafs win again last night, this time 4-2 over Tampa Bay. Leafs were asleep for the first two periods, but hung in the game thanks to some good goaltending by Andrew Raycroft - Ian White got the winner last night. Leafs are 2-0 on their trip down south. Leafs play Ed Belfour and the Panthers tonight - I wonder if Eddie will buy the first round after the game.

HAZEL'S THREE STARS
A.C. Milan midfielder and Brazilian international Kaka scored the first three goals of the game yesterday in a 4-1 win over Anderlecht. (Yes we are including soccer - a hat trick in soccer is a big freakin deal).

Cam Ward of the Carolina Hurricanes stopped 40 shots in a 5-2 road win over the Atlanta Thrashers.

NY Rangers forward Jaromir Jagr had the game winning goal in O/T and added an assist in a win over the high flying Anaheim Ducks.

THURSDAY THREE PLAY
We had a tough night last night going 1-2 and finishing -$30 on the night - our total stands are +$254, so we can't complaing too much. Tonight's plays

New Jersey over NY Islanders - the Devils will be heavily favoured, but the Islanders win for the week came against Chicago. Lay $50 down on the Devils -$200

Minnesota over Vancouver - the Wild are looking like Cup contenders, and they are absolutely beasts at home - I can't see Vancouver pulling this one out. Lay $50 on the Wild -$170.

Buffalo over Boston - sorry Hazel, but I can't see the Bruins winning here. The Sabres are coming off their first loss of the season and should be out for blood tonight. Lay $25 on the Sabres -$210 - go a little less in case Hazel is at the game tonight, Hazel Karma can bite you.
