Bittersweet Day In Europe

Hey Peeps and anyone else checking in. A special "Hey" goes out to Hazel Mae.

Yes, I am leading off with Champions League soccer action from yesterday - both Portuguese teams won, FC Porto travelled to Moscow and beat CSKA by a 2-0 count and moved into a tie for first place in Group G (2nd place on goal differential); Benfica thrashed FC Copenhagen at the Estadio da Luz in Lisbon - bad news is that Manchester United crapped the bed in Scotland losing to Celtic, meaning Benfica has to win in England in their final game of the group stage...yes, I'll be asking for Hazel Karma next month.

Luis Figo welcomes Sporting Lisbon (his first professional team) to Milan as Sporting takes on Inter today - good luck Sporting.

Benfica striker Fabrizio Micoli scored two goals in the win over FC Copenhagen. I can't say that Hazel would be done with handing out the hardware to a soccer player...but I'm exercising editorial rights.

New York Rangers' goalie Henrik Lundqvist stopped 34 shots in a 4-0 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes last night. Jaromir Jagr helped out with two goals - but shutting out the Canes trumps the two goal night.

Edmonton Oilers forward Petr Sykora scored both goals in a 2-1 victory over Kiprusoff and the Flames last night.

We didn't pick anything last night - leaving our total for the week at + $150.

Ottawa over Philadelphia - Flyers coming off a western roadtrip, Tards playing better - all things point to a Tards much as I hate to admit it. Lay $100 on the Tards - $180.

New Jersey over Phoenix - The Coyotes can't seem to beat anyone these days, so don't expect them to start now with Jersey. Lay $50 on the Devils - $170.

San Jose over L.A. Kings - the Sharks were humiliated last night against the Ducks...they'll take it out on the Kings tonight. Lay $50 on the Sharks - $310.

That's about it for this morning gang - check back tonight for NFL picks. Have a great one peeps!

Research other possibilities if you aren't happy with the way things have been going. An older associate will give you a good suggestion that will eliminate some of the stress you've been experiencing. 5 stars

Hazel, I hope things are groovy in your world.

Song of the Day on Hazelspeeps - just because

Fiesta - The Pogues

Peesth Out...Buh Bye!
