Only In The CFL

Hey Peeps and anyone else checking in. A special "Hey" goes out to Hazel Mae.

If you aren't a fan of the CFL - you really should be. While I am more of an NFL fan, the CFL does offer some exciting football and comic relief as we wait for the NFL to get starter. I submit this for your reading enjoyment this morning - something that could ONLY happen in the CFL - in a game between Winnipeg and Edmonton.

There is 1:38 seconds left in the game, Winnipeg is on their 35+ yard line, leading 19-16 - facing a 3rd and inches. Winnipeg decides to go for it with a QB sneak - they pick up four yards and the first down only to see the QB fumble it and have Edmonton recover and run it down to Winnipeg's 25 yard line (or so). Edmonton proceeds to score a touchdown with 14 seconds left on the clock, with a failed two-point conversion...score is 22-19 Edmonton. Winnipeg starts on their own 10 yard line with 10 seconds left - their first pass is incomplete, and they know have four seconds on the clock. Kevin Glenn hits Milt Stegall at the Winnipeg 30+ yard line, in between two Edmonton defenders - Edmonton safety Malcolm Frank misses the tackle and Stegall goes 100 freakin' yards on the last play of the game. Only in the CFL.

That's about it for this morning - have a great one peeps.

Take a closer look at what's going on in your own back yard. As long as you keep an eye on things, everything will be fine. If you let others think and do for you, it's likely that you will have to redo a few things yourself. 4 stars

Hazel, I hope things are groovy in your world - have a great weekend.
