A Win...But At What Cost?

Hey Peeps and anyone else checking in today. A special "Hey" goes out to Hazel Mae.

It was supposed to be the best matchup of the round of 16 - instead, it turned into a farce. The game between Portugal and Holland took a back seat to the referree, who lost complete control of the game. Portugal squeaked out a 1-0 victory (thank you Hazel????) and now goes on to face England on Saturday. More on this later.

Two games today - no time for analysis, running late here.

Italy 2 - 0 Australia - The Australians' tournament was made by reaching the knockout round...I'd love to see them win, actually I'm hoping they win, but I can't see it happening today.

Brazil 2 - 1 Ghana - Brazil has too much game for Ghana; having said that, Ghana could use their strength to exploit Brazil's one weakness - a lack of speed on defence. Ghana could make this one interesting - I'd like to call an upset here, but I can't.

That's about it gang...running late.

HAZEL'S MONDAY HOROSCOPE
Prepare to troubleshoot in personal and family matters. Your enthusiasm and ability to fight for what you want will be hard to beat. Keep in mind, however, that humility and generosity of spirit will make you not only a winner but a popular one at that. 2 stars

Hazel, I hope things are groovy in your world.

Song of the Day on Hazelspeeps - watching Luiz Felipe Scolari go crazy on the sidelines yesterday...

O Careca - Amalia Rodrigues
