Oilers Aren't Panicking - But Their Fans Are!

Hey Peeps and anyone else checking in. A special "Hey" goes out to Hazel Mae.

The Oilers are down 2-0 in the Stanley Cup Finals - and after last night's game, it is very tough to see them coming back in this series. The Oilers didn't play quite as bad as the score would indicate, it is hard to take any positives from 5-0 loss, but they had chances to score and stay in the game. The Oilers scoring touch went south - they couldn't buy a goal last night, and as the game went on, you got the sense that Edmonton was beginning to feel snake-bitten by Ward and the Hurricanes. To compound things - the Hurricanes could do no wrong, they got all the bounces - including the first goal off the skate of Marc-Andre Bergeron. The back breaker was the Stillman goal with seconds left in the 2nd period - you have to see it.

The series shifts back to Edmonton - but it is going to be a long trip home. I don't think the Oilers have an answer for the Hurricanes - but I hope I'm wrong.

Gotta book gang - World Cup Preview Group B tonight. Have a great one.

Hazel, I hope things are groovy in your world.
