Live To Fight Another Day

Hey Peeps and anyone else checking in. A special "Hey" goes out to Hazel Mae.

The Maple Leafs extended their hopes of making the NHL playoffs last night with a shoot-out win over the Bruins last night. Leaf Nation held our collective breath as the Buds were down 4-2 in the second. Two late second period goals and three saves from Tellqvist in the shoot-out leaves the Leafs within striking distance of the Lightning and the free-falling Devils (who lost AGAIN to the Islanders and blow ANOTHER sports lottery ticket for me)...I'm not convinced the Islanders can keep this up - I'm just convinced the Devils are very ordinary.

Last night's notables - Wednesday's Hazie Award Winners...

Mats Sundin - The captain came up big with 2 goals and 1 assist last night.

Daniel Briere - Briere scored 2 goals and 2 assits to lead the Sabres past the Caps...I know its the Caps...but with what the Sabres are going through right now with news of Lindy Ruff's daughter...

Thomas Vokoun - Vokoun stopped 31 shots to lead Nashville to a 5 - 0 victory over Vancouver last night...honourable mention goes to former Leaf Steve Sullivan (3 assists).

Doug Weight - Weight had 2 goals and 1 assits to lead the Caps over the struggling Rangers. Panthers rebounds after a bad trip in Florida.

Lots of stuff coming up for Weird and Whacked Wednesdays - led by some very strange signings in the NFL. Welcome to Miami Daunte.

As I type this morning's entry...I'm listening to WEEI - John Dennis is on some rant about Adam Vinatieri leaving the Patriots. What is it about sports fans and personalities that think athletes should turn their back on millions of dollars - to stay in a city that supposedly loves them? Especially in the case of Vinatieri who is a kicker and hasn't been making multi-million, multi-year contracts. John Dennis is sounding like a babbling idiot this morning...if this is scripted (ie Point / Counter Point) well, weak doesn't even begin to describe what this morning's NFL segment is like.

I've gotta book - have a great one peeps.

HAZEL'S WEDNESDAY HOROSCOPE
Emotions will be difficult to control so it will be better if you let people come to you. You can make some headway on a project you have been trying to get off the ground. The people you need to collaborate with will want to proceed. 3 stars

Hazel, I hope things are groovy in your world.

Song of the Day on Hazelspeeps - for the Maple Leafs and members of Leaf Nation

Die Another Day - Madonna

Peesth Out!
