NHL Trade Deadline Today

Hey Peeps and anyone else checking in. A special "Hey" goes out to Hazel Mae.

It's all about hockey today folks - the NHL trade deadline is tonight. From a Leaf Nation perspective, John Ferguson Jr. made a statement last night...the Leafs will not be sellers. Toronto picked up Luke Richardson last night from Columbus - Richardson originally drafted by Toronto (and a former minor hockey teammate of yours truly) provide Toronto with a veteran presence on the blue line...a minor deal, but still a good one.

Pierre Lacroix demonstrated once again why he is the best General Manager in the NHL - Lacroix picked up Jose Theodore from the Canadiens for David Aebischer. I know the deal is a salary dump on Montreal's part - but for Lacroix to capitalize just shows how ahead of the game he is. Colorado fans must be looking at this trade as the second coming of Patrick Roy.
