Tilt Report - Ugh...Stupidity
Alright, outside of having to write a series of stupid procedures for employees to follow, I have to simply say that the JFJ takes 2 steps forward, then jumps back 30 feet. Does this guy not learn from his mistakes??? While I think Vesa Toskala is a good goaltender, I don't think he has proven himself to warrent a 2 year, $8 million contract extension. Suffice to say, the Leafs also have a talented young goaltender in their farm system that may be ready in a year or two to step up...so what then??? JFJ has once again hung yet another albatros around the Leafs neck. At some point the Leafs organization neck is going to break from all the albatroses that JFJ has hung up...McCabe, Gil, Raycroft to name a few.
The Russian city of Sochi defeated the South Korean city of Pyeongchang 51-47 in the final round of voting by the International Olympic Committee. Apparently the Russian government has promised millions in investment to improve the city to prepare for the Olympics. Nothing like seeing a bunch of fit athletes pissed drunk on cheap Russian vodka.
Jeremy Roenick is apparently ready to retire. CBC should seriously consider bringing the guy to sit along side Ron McLean and Don Cherry during Coaches Corner. Roenick + Cherry = half the intellegence of McLean.
I tried to watch a bit of Wimbleton...but something about the sport of tennis makes me fall asleep. Who really enjoys watching a ball go back and forth over a net? Then again there are millions in the US who enjoy watching cars drive around in giant circles.
