A Great Start To Independence Day

Hey Peeps and anyone else checking in. A special "Hey" goes out to Hazel Mae if she is checking in.

This afternoon's strategy seems to be paying off - three winners.

Those checking in last week know that we rarely leave well enough alone and look to build on successful afternoons; with that in mind, suggestions for tonight:

San Diego over Florida - Chris Young is getting a lot of attention for not being named to the NL All-Star team, we think he sticks it to LaRussa and makes a last appeal for the fan vote with a gem tonight against the Marlins. Lay $100 on the Padres - $210.

Detroit over Cleveland - we like Kenny Rogers tonight against Jake Westbrook - the Tigers are still smarting after last night's loss in extra innings, so they'll be looking to take it out on Westbrook early and often. Lay $100 on the Tigers - $ 130.

Seattle over Kansas City - the Mariners have to win a game for their new manager...don't they? How about we go with the theory that has worked well for us today "they won't get swept by Seattle"? Ok, how about Jarrod Washburn's career 7-4 mark against the Royals vs. Brian Bannister's career 0-2 mark against the Mariners? Whatever reasoning you want to follow - it adds up to a win for the Mariners. Lay $100 on the M's - $105.

Good luck if you play them.

Hazel, I hope things are groovy in your world.

I'm Out.
