Let The Excuses Begin In Ottawa

Hey Peeps and anyone else checking in. A special "Hey" goes out to Hazel Mae.

Didn't we say they were the same old SenaTards? They may be a little fiestier, they may be a little tougher, they may be a little bit better behind the pipes - but they are the same old bunch of chumps wearing the Trojan Condom logo on their chests, who talk a really big game and fail to live up to it when it counts.

The Anaheim Ducks went into game four last night minus Chris Pronger, who was serving a one game suspension, and managed to pull out a 3-2 victory to take a 3-1 lead in games in the Stanley Cup Finals. The Ducks weathered the first ten minutes of the opening period - even though they were badly out-played - a goal by Krusty the Klown with one second left put the Tards up, but they left the ice feeling like they should have had at least three.

The second period represented 180 degree shift from the first - Anaheim came out skating, shooting and hitting; they were rewarded with two goals in a span of one minute mid-way through the period. Like Ottawa, the Ducks left the ice thinking that they had let things get away from them - after completely dominating the first 15 minutes of the period, they left the ice tied up after a breakdown in defensive zone coverage allowed Dany Heatley to score a goal at the 18:00 mark. The period ended on a cheap note with time winding down in the period, Krusty was at centre ice when he decided that instead of the customary shot from centre ice at the net - he shoot the puck (slapshot) directly at Scott Niedermeyer. This of course brought a scrum, and as is his signature move during scrums, Alfredsson threw a sucker punch at Ducks winger Travis Moen. Typical.

Dustin Penner gave the Ducks the lead four minutes into the third and they then sat back to protect the lead - counting on the Conn Smythe candidate J-S Giguere to shut the door the rest of the way. The Tards managed to threaten a few times, but Giguere was always there. Good game - great result.

Woke up today feeling hungover from NOT drinking - is that possible? Anyways that means we don't have much to say about MLB today. The Red Sox dropped one on the left coast to the Oakland A's, while Red Sox West beat the Pirates in the east.

HAZEL'S THREE STARS
Ducks C Andy McDonald scored the Ducks first two goals and started the play the eventually led the winning goal by Penner. Great game by the speedy little centre.

Ducks LW Dustin Penner - you know the rules, if someone scores the game winning against the Tards...they get a star.

Dodgers C Russell Martin hit his fourth home run in five games to lead Sox West to a 6-5 win over the Pirates - good stuff from the Canadian kid.

TUESDAY THREE PLAY

We split the night last night, with the balance sheet taking a minor hit; $30 in the red after one night. Today's suggestions

Cleveland over Kansas City - we'll go with C.C. Sabathia today, the number is big...but don't let that scare you off. Lay $100 on the Tribe - $280.

Toronto over Tampa Bay - Halladay pitches today...good news for the DRays is that Halladay works fast so it will be quick and relatively painless. Lay $100 on the Blue Jays - $250.

Boston over Oakland - expect Matsuzaka to get the Sox back on track after losing last night - Sox face former teammate DiNardo tonight. Lay $100 on Boston - $160.

That's it for today gang - have a great one peeps.

Hazel, I hope things are groovy in your world.

Song of the Day on Hazelspeeps - Tilt and I survived Boston.

Home For A Rest - Spirit of the West

Peesth Out...Buh Bye!
