Boston Rocks

Hey Peeps and anyone else checking in. A special "Hey" goes out to Hazel Mae.

My man Tilt and I are checking in from Boston this morning after a great freakin night - a little hungover, but its all good - we're back at it today. Too much Guinness the night before means an abbreviated post with scrambled thoughts.

One funny thing about last night - since everything near Fenway was packed (Cask N Flagon and Game On) Tilt and I watched the game at the Boston Billiard Club (or whatever it was called, fuzzy thoughts). In Youkilis' last at bast, I turned to Tilt and said "If I was on the mound, I swear I'd plunk Youkilis just for that retarded batting stance." A couple of pitches later, Proctor plunked Youkilis, and a guy at the next table just looked over at me.

Things we'll have our eyes on today

Portugal vs Belgium in a Euro 2008 Qualifier - Ronaldo won't be suiting up today, but we should still take it down.

Sox vs Yankees - Tilt and I are still talking about the electricity of being in the city when the Yankees are in town...oh yeah, the women walking around Fenway were pretty damn electric too.

Anaheim vs Ottawa - we're hoping to catch the Tards vs Ducks tonight after this afternoon's game. We're looking for Anaheim to win tonight - might be the only time you catch us screaming USA, USA (even though Anaheim has 19 Canadians in the lineup).

Ok, we've gotta get some breakfast and get back down to Fenway.

HAZEL'S THREE STARS
Cleveland Indians C Victor Martinez hit two home runs, including a three run shot in the ninth to get the Tribe to within one of the Tigers, and finished the night with four runs batted in.

Chicago White Sox P Javier Vasquez pitched eight shutout innings, limiting the Jays to six hits and two walks while striking out five in a 3-0 win. Tilt just threw a set of keys at me for including Vasquez - Jays fans get a little testy when they lose.

Arizona Diamondbacks P Brandon Webb gave up one unearned run over eight innings, shutting down the Mets on four hits and a walk while striking out eight. This one sucks from a Dodgers fan's point of view.

SATURDAY THREE PLAY
We had a rough night last night and it wasn't just the Guinness; the total for the week is - $250. We'll get it back today, three suggestions:

Philadelphia over San Francisco - the Phillies got pounded last night, expect them to return the favour with Cole Hamels on the hill. Lay $100 on the Phillies - $175.

Boston over New York - we'll go with Schilling today, its a big one after last night's loss and Schilling thrives in those games. Lay $100 on the Sox - $130.

Oakland over Minnesota - Joe Blanton goes for the A's against Carlos Silva, we like Blanton (especially because he is on the staff of the FIRST PLACE Maeple Leafs in the Yahoo pool). Lay $100 on the A's - $135.

That's it for today gang - Fenway here we come...again!

HAZEL'S SATURDAY HOROSCOPE
You have what it takes to push your way to the top. Don't let a personal matter stand in your way. You have to be a little selfish and put your own needs and goals first if you want to be successful. 5 stars
