Busted!!! But It's All Good Though

Well, I thought Blogger was down yesterday morning - that was until my girl "B" called me at work today to cancel coffee AND bust me for finding the page. She finally found me out - in addition to having a heart of goal, being smart and smokin' hot, I found out today that my best friend is actually pretty damn resourceful too! Welcome to the page "B", remember you started here yesterday - so NO SEARCHING the blog for references to you...they're top secret.

Big night in the Eastern Conference playoff race - God help me, I'm in the SenaTards camp this week; two wins against Carolina were much appreciated, and another one tonight against Atlanta would be welcomed by Leaf Nation. The Canadiens are in tough tonight as they visit Buffalo - no tears being shed here; and the Hurricanes host the red-hot Penguins. So we could (should) very well see all three teams the Maple Leafs are chasing lose tonight.

Which brings up to the Maple Leafs - if there was ever a time we needed some good Hazel Karma, its tonight as the good guys travel to New Jersey to face Martin Brodeur and the Devils. The Maple Leafs have played their best hockey on the road this year, so we are hoping for a big effort against the Devils. Talk out of Toronto is that Paul Maurice will be switching up the line combinations for tonight - Hazel, if you are checking in the boys in blue will be featuring the following line combos tonight (according to your old friends at Rogers)

Battaglia - Antropov - Sundin

Ponikarovsky - Perreault - O'Neill (too early for POP line?)

Steen - Stajan - Pohl

A win tonight, coupled with a loss by the Habs, will move Toronto up to ninth place - one point behind Montreal with two games in hand; with the Sabres slated to visit the ACC tomorrow night...we are going to need those games in hand. Here's hoping that Perreault's first game back (ok, in his third stint) with Toronto is a big one. Go Leafs Go...right "B"? For the record, "B" is the only SenaTards fan that I like.

For those of you who emailed me to say that the Bruins weren't done yet - trust me guys, when you lose to the Flyers AT HOME, you are in big trouble...you're done for. If Toronto doesn't make the playoffs - we will hold YOU personally responsible; I still can't believe we dropped so many points to you chumps this year.

HAZEL'S THREE STARS

Tampa Bay Lightning C Vincent Lecavalier continues to carry his team - last night it was with a goal and two assists in a 5-4 shootout win over Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals. If he keeps going like this, Tampa Bay is going to be one scary team to play come April.

St. Louis Blues RW Lee Stempniak (yes you heard me Lee S-T-E-M-P-N-I-A-K) had an assist and scored in overtime to give the Blues an unexpected 3-2 over the New York Islanders - the news was welcomed by Leaf Nation...though being the crusty buggers we are these days, we have to ask "Why couldn't you have done it in regulation?????"

Minnesota Wild C Pavol Demitra had a goal an two assists last night - good for Hazel's Maeple Leafs in the yahoo pool.


FRIDAY THREE PLAY
We've missed a couple of days this week - blame it on technological issues; but we are still + $250 and 4-1 on the week. We are going to continue this little hot streak in our quest to get out of the hole on the year. We like our picks tonight.

Buffalo over Montreal - The Sabres should be getting Briere back tonight, which is bad news for whomever Montreal starts between the pipes. The Habs were listless against the Rangers and I'm not expecting anything different tonight - I've said it before, these jokers will NOT make the playoffs. Lay $100 on the Sabres - OTB as of 6:30 a.m. to be updated later.


Detroit over Chicago - the Hawks are just playing out the string now - the Red Wings are fighting for 1st spot in the division. The Red Wings won't let this one get away from them...bet on it. Lay $100 on the Red Wings - $380.

Dallas over Columbus - the Stars dropped one last night against Florida...expect Columbus to suffer the wrath of the Stars tonight for yesterday's brain cramp. Lay $100 on the Stars - $270.
