Jim Lang - You Rock!!! (ummm, not really)

Hey Peeps and anyone else checking in. A special "Hey" goes out to Hazel Mae.

For our American friends - allow me to introduce you to Mr. Jim Lang, better known to Canadian sports fans as, the guy who used to replace Hazel on Rogers Sportsnet News every Friday during baseball season - when Hazel was taping JZone. Obviously, Hazel would recognize her old pal.

Jim is a pretty intense anchor - to say that he is "amped" would be putting it mildly...Jim is like a riddlin deprived kid amped on Jolt Cola and double chocolate donuts. Jim really brings it.

Well, tonight Jim really brought it when he did a bit on Philadelphia Eagles QB Jeff Garcia. Jim's piece on Garcia was set up by Lang talking about the Garcia/T.O feud back in San Francisco. In Jim's words, it sets up for a great matchup Saturday night as the Cowboys take on the Eagles in the opening round of the NFL playoffs.

Thanks Jim but, ummmm, well the Cowboys are playing the Seahawks on Saturday.

I have to ask - Jim, do you watch the NFL? Did you run your copy by the Director, Producer or Editor at Rogers before you ran it? Does ANYONE doesn Sportsnet News watch football? Geezus, Hazel would never mess up like that...NEVER.

I read Renee's blog entry tonight and I have only one question. Why would the Sox be looking for another outfielder when the have a "versatile, left handed bat off the bench" like Eric Hinske?
