Don't Mess With Hazel Karma

Hey Peeps and anyone else checking in. A special "Hey" goes out to Hazel Mae.

Great game at the ACC last night - the Leafs completely dominated a lacklustre Bruins team that played like they were hungover. The gang on TSN's pre-game show was talking about this one as a must win for the Leafs; they came through in spades. The Leafs were solid in every aspect of the game:
  • Raycroft outplayed Tim Thomas, who managed to score one on his own net;
  • Kubina and Kaberle were solid and controlled the breakouts when they were on the ice - surprise, surprise, Bryan McCabe didn't make any bonehead plays last night;
  • The forwards forechecked the B's defence relentlessly last night, taking the body on most of the dump ins;
  • The power play finally came through and the PK wasn't bad either, surrendering the lone Bruins goal while they had two men in the box;
  • Nice to see that Bruins supposed tough-guy Paul mara, who was on record as saying he'd like to take Darcy Tucker on, turned his back away from Wade Belak when challenged late in the game.
We don't know if Hazel is on vacation and took in the game at the ACC - but we'd like to think she at least had an eye on the game and was sending her good karma to the hanger.

HAZEL'S THREE STARS
Toronto Maple Leafs Captain Mats Sundin had two goals and an assist last night to help the Buds start off on the right foot by slapping the Bruins around last night by a 5-1 count. Sundin played a completely game, dominating at both ends of the ice.

Colorado Avalanche Captain Joe Sakic had three assists in a 5-3 victory over the Predators (which really sucked for our Three Play). Sakic moved into 10th spot on the NHL's all-time scoring list.

Atlanta Thrashers LW Marian Hossa also had three assists to lead the Thrashers to a 3-2 overtime win over the Tards. While Hossa wasn't named a game star - we love the irony of a former SenaTard coming back to beat his former team.

Honourable mention goes out to Boise State QB Jared Zabransky who went from hero to goat to hero in yesterday's Fiesta Bowl...if you missed it, you missed the best football game played all year - Amazing!

TUESDAY THREE PLAY
Two bad nights in a row - my apologies. We started off 2007 on the wrong foot, winding up $180 in the red...it won't be a sign of things to come this year. We'll get back on the right track tonight. Check back later this afternoon for the Three Play.

That's about it for this morning gang - tonight, we'll do the Hazies for 2006. Have a great one peeps!

HAZEL'S TUESDAY HOROSCOPE
It's a new year, a new you and a new start. Gear up and prepare to make things happen. Money and contracts are apparent so utilize your talent and make the most of what's being offered. 2 stars

Hazel, I hope things are groovy in your world.

Song of the Day on Hazelspeeps - for the newest member of the yahoo group kiddo, who misses starting off his/her day with Hazel on Rogers; and keeping in mind we are doing The Clash this week...

Brand New Cadillac - The Clash

Drive!!!
Drive!!!

My baby rolled up in a brand new Cadillac
Yes she did!
My baby drove up in a brand new Cadillac
She said, "Hey, come here, Daddy!"
"I ain't never coming back!"

Baby, baby, won't you hear my plea? Yeah
C'mon, sugar, just come on back to me
She said, "Balls to you, Big Daddy."
Now!

Baby, baby, won't you hear my plea?
Oh a-c'mon, just hear my plea
She said, "Balls to you, Daddy."
She ain't coming back to me

All-right!

Baby, baby drove up in a Cadillac
I said, "Jesus Christ! Where'd you get that Cadillac?"
She said, "Balls to you, Daddy."
She ain't never coming back!
Yeah she ain’t never coming back
She ain’t a-never coming back
She ain’t a-never coming back
She ain’t never coming back

Peesth Out...Buh Bye!
