Well, Monday Night Football was the Devin Hester show, as the rookie returned two kickoffs for touchdowns last night in a win over St. Louis - his fifth and sixth of the season, setting an NFL record.

Pittsburgh Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin had a goal and an assist in regulation, and the shootout winner in a 5-4 victory over the Washington Capitals - in a game that featured the future of the NHL.

San Jose Sharks C Joe Thornton had three assists in a 4-0 shutout victory over the Phoenix Coyotes - breaking the Sharks four game home losing streak to the Coyotes.

TUESDAY'S THREE PLAY
We had a great night last night going 2-0 and going $100 into the black - nice way to start off the week. Bowmans doesn't have the NHL numbers up yet, so I'll have to fill them in later.

New York over Philadelphia - Henrik Lundqvist is on fire right now, which isn't good news for a Flyers team that can't score. Lay $50 on the Rangers tonight - $180.

Toronto over Tampa Bay - in two words...HAZEL KARMA. The streak ends tonight (I know that is dangerous...). Lay $25 on Toronto - $120.

Vancouver over Phoenix - I'll talk Luongo over Tellqvist. Lay $50 on the Canucks - $160.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to two hockey families today.
If you haven't heard, Montreal Canadiens GM Bob Gainey's daughter was swept off a ship by a wave last Friday night. The search for Laura Gainey was suspended yesterday, and the worst is feared.

The Boston Bruins announced the rookie Phil Kessell has left the team due to a non-hockey related medical issue - no details were announced. Let's hope that its not a Jon Lester deal.
