Happy Portugal Day

Hey Peeps and anyone else checking in.  A very special Ola goes out to Hazel Mae.

Well, after celebrating Portugal Day - Dia de Portugal, de Camões e das Comunidades Portuguesas - the feeling here is a bit more optimistic.  Portugal sits on the sidelines til Wednesday, when we face the Danes - the job will get done.  Two more games today, two more correct picks - for those of you counting, that is 5 out of 6 right.

Tomorrow's picks

France 1- 0 England

The French have been playing better as of late, the English go into the tournament down a few men and being led by a guy who is so negative that he makes the Greeks look like Brazil.  The French will win this game, England is not going to make it out of the group stage, yes you read it here from a non-expert.

Ukraine 1-1 Sweden
The hosts traditionally start out pretty strong in these tournaments...when they deserve to be there.  But the Ukraine, much like their co-hosts Poland, shouldn't be in the tournament - no way these guys would have qualified the old fashioned way.  This game will likely play out like the Greece/Poland game - Ukraine will come out flying, maybe score a goal...but the better team will come back.  Emotion gets them a tie...but not much more.

On another note - this page has always preferred Rogers Sportsnet to TSN, this year's coverage of the Euro is yet another reason to hate TSN.

First off, broadcasting live games on TSN2 sucks - what's the matter TSN?  not enough uptake on TSN2HD? C'mon TSN, show the damn live broadcast on the regular station and stop play stupid games with TSN2...this is a major international tournament your jerks.

Secondly - they aren't live streaming games.  Unless you are stupid enough to pay TSN 20 bucks to see all the games....what a great deal, you can maybe live stream games for 20 bucks.  Hey TSN, ever hear of atdhe.ws?

TSN bites the big one.

Enjoy day 4 of the Euro.

I'm Out!
