Quick Hits

Hey Peeps and anyone else checking. A special "Hey" goes out to Hazel Mae if she is checking in.

Curt Schilling just can't seem to keep his big yap shut - a couple of months ago, he shot his mouth off about Barry Bonds and his personal life only to apologize later on his blog. Schilling is mouthing off again about Barry, and Mark McGwire gets called out too. According to Schilling, if you don't fight to clear your name, if you don't sue someone's ass for calling your name into question - you're basically admitting that what is being said about you is true. We hear Bonds and McGwire are going to issue a million dollar challenge a la Curt Bloody Sock challenge.

Speaking of loud mouths (Schilling) - Eric and Jordon Staal were arrested in Minneapolis, after things got a little out of hand at a bachelor party. No big deal though...the charges are misdemeanors and amount to these guys making too much noise...still funny though.

UCLA Asst Coach Eric Scott arrested - Eric Scott an asst coach with UCLA Bruins football team was arrested, along with two other men, on suspicion of burglary.

Lance Armstrong must be laughing - This year's Tour de France has been rocked by positive drug tests - does anyone care?

WEDNESDAY'S THREE STARS

Cleveland Indians P Fausto Carmona got his revenge on the Boston Red Sox, pitching eight shutout innings and limiting the Sox to four hits and two walks while striking out six in the Tribe's 1-0 win.

Detroit Tigers RF Ryan Raburn did his best impersonation of Gary Sheffield, going 4-5 with two home runs and seven runs batted in, in a 13-9 win over the White Sox.

Toronto Blue Jays C Gregg Zaun went 3 for 4, with a home run and four runs batted in to lead the Jays to a 13-1 win over the Twins. Zaun really had a "neat" day.

THURSDAY THREE PLAY

For those of you still following - we were 2-1 yesterday...balance sheet stands at + $100...its going to be a long road back, but we'll get there. Suggestions for this afternoon - we'll be back later with night games.

Baltimore/Tampa Bay over 10 - Edwin Jackson and Steve Trachsel are on the mound today...so expect balls to be flying all over Camden Yards today. Lay $100 on the over - $110.

Milwaukee over Cincinnati - we'll go with Dave Bush over Bobby Livingston. We like Milwaukee to respond with a big game after losing last night to Kyle Lohse of all people. Lay $100 on the Brewers - $125.

New York over Pittsburgh - this isn't a case where we suggest wagering against a sweep - we like Perez over Maholm...BIG TIME. Lay $100 on the Mets - $220.

That's it for today gang...thanks for taking the time to check in. Have a great one peeps!

Hazel, we hope things are groovy in your world.

We're Out.
