A Miserable Night In The NHL

Hey Peeps and anyone else checking in. A special "Hey" goes out to Hazel Mae.

You know what kind of mood I'm in this morning - the Maple Leafs dropped another one to the Bruins, the SenaTards win, and the Habs win in a shootout. The NHL sucked last night. I have one question - "Hazel, what are you doing to us?" The Bruins sweep a mini-series at the ACC? Jayzuss...I think the only way to fix this is for you to bow out of hosting The Buzz - concentrate on the upcoming season of Red Sox Rewind. Think about it Hazel...for Leaf Nation, please.

HAZEL'S THREE STARS
Anaheim Ducks' defenceman Scott Niedermeyer played in his 1,000th game last night in Edmonton. Niedermeyer's accomplishment was overshadowed by Chris Pronger's return to Edmonton - where Oilers' fans were calling for his head. It kills me to hand out a star to Niedermeyer because he was a Leaf killer when he played for New Jersey - but he's one of the best defencemen of his era, and 1,000 games is quite the accomplishment.

Atlanta Thrashers' winger Marian Hossa had a goal and three assists last night to lead the Thrashers to a 5-4 overtime win over the Rangers at Madison Square Garden last night. He's a former SenaTard, which is a strike against him - but a few more years as a Thrasher will make him A-Ok on this page.

Washington Capitals' goalie Olaf Kolzig made 48 saves to lead the Caps to a 5-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning. I told you that I liked the Caps goaltending over the Lightning last night.

WEDNESDAY THREE PLAY

We got off to a bad start yesterday, but wins by the Sharks and the Caps allowed us to break even. The balance sheet stands at - $120 for the week (I mistakenly put - $125 yesterday). Only three games in the NHL tonight -

Nashville over Philadelphia - the Flyers have trouble with speed teams...they don't get much faster than Nashville. Lay $75 on Nashville - $155.

Minnesota over San Jose - San Jose is missing two key players...they got by the Blues without Cheechoo and Michalek, but I don't see it happening against the Wild. Lay $100 on the Wild - $110.

Dallas over Chicago - ya, the Blackhawks have Denis Savard behind the bench now...so what? They are still the Blackhawks. Lay $50 on the Stars - $200.
There you have it...have a great day peeps!

HAZEL'S WEDNESDAY HOROSCOPE
Look for any opportunity to branch out and try something new. You will be in dire need of a challenge and, if you don't get it, you will probably make poor choices out of boredom. You will react emotionally regarding a love interest. 3 stars

Hazel, I hope things are groovy in your world.

Song of the Day on Hazelspeeps - to anyone that wants to talk about the Leafs/Bruins
