World Cup Weekend

Hey Peeps and anyone else checking in. A special "Hey" goes out to Hazel Mae.

What a weekend at the World Cup - Portugal beat Iran to book their place in the round of 16; Luis Figo had another very good game Saturday, setting up the goal by Deco and drawing the penalty that Cristiano Ronaldo converted from the penalty spot...the boys are definitely on the rise.

Brazil looked shaky in their win against Australia, something is not quite right with the Samba boys; this is looking very much like the 1998 World Cup where all signs pointed to Brazil winning - and the French upset them.

Some shockers this weekend:

Mexico tying Angola, I don't know if this is a case of Angola rising to the occasion; or the Mexicans not being quite as good as everyone thinks.

The Czech Republic losing to Ghana, coupled with Italy and the USA tying, leaves Group D up for grabs...who knows what is going to happen.

South Korea coming back to tie France could be a death blow to the French; if nothing else, it completely demoralized the French and has them doubting themselves.

Three more games today, here's who I am picking

Togo 0 - 2 Switzerland - the Swiss know this is a must win today - the cannot afford to give up points to Togo.

Saudi Arabia 0 - 2 Ukraine - The Saudis shocked Tunisia, but the Ukraine and Shevchenko are a different animal. The Ukraine know that with a win, they determine their own destiny in game 3 against Tunisia.

Spain 3 - 0 Tunisia - Spain just have too much for Tunisia. I think the Spainiards bolt out to an early lead and coast the rest of the way.

That's about it for this morning - gotta book peeps. Have a great one.

HAZEL'S MONDAY HOROSCOPE
You'll be able to get things done today. Your energetic approach will tire -- and impress -- the people you are with. You'll be able to enhance your look, making your chores a little easier. 3 stars

Hazel, I hope things are groovy in your world.

Song of the Day on Hazelspeeps - for some of the teams at the World Cup who are a little shaken right now, most notably the French

Sou De Vidro - Misia
