Gold For Canadian Women

Hey Peeps and anyone else checking in. A special "Hey" goes out to Hazel Mae.

It has been a relatively quiet day today, with the Olympics being front and center - even if no one seems to really care. No one seems to be really paying attention to the Olympics this year; reports say that NBC's ratings are awful (talk is they are being creative in their reporting of viewing numbers); in Canada, even with our athletes doing relatively well - people don't seem to be watching the Olympics, they aren't even talking about them.

Canadian Women's hockey team won the gold medal today with a 4 - 1 win over Sweden. The game was anti-climatic, as the Swedes were given little (if any) chance of pulling off a second straight major upset and winning against Canada today. I watched a bit of the game today - Canada was coasting after going up 4 - 0...they were just waiting for the clock to run down - it was never really in doubt. So congratulations to Canadian Women's hockey team.

I have to cut this short tonight - friend on the phone. This week's edition of Weird & Whacked Wednesday may take a few entries -

Tuesday - the NFL is making headlines again, and it isn't just Ricky Williams in the news.

Wednesday - the Olympics, have you heard about the Austrian ski coach? I see a movie coming out of this one

Thursday - The NHL and MLB with some interesting and humourous stories.

Check back to see what catches our attention here. Have a great one peeps.

Hazel I hope things are groovy in your world - and that you are enjoying the warm weather in Florida.

Song of the Day on Hazelspeeps - for the Canadian Women's Hockey Team

(you have to be Canadian to get it)

Peesth Out!
